Scope of the General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
By browsing the pages of www.pcbnow.eu or submitting an order, you (hereinafter referred to as the Customer) accept the General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of SensNet Kft. (hereinafter referred to as the Contractor), including its data management principles, and agree to them in their entirety. You also acknowledge that the Contractor cannot be held liable for damages resulting from the non-fulfillment of obligations described in the contract. The provisions of the GTC apply to the Contractor's online platform (http://www.pcbnow.eu).
Subject of the Contract
The subject of the Contract includes the manufacturing and distribution of printed circuit boards (PCBs) based on the Customer's specific needs and designs. It also includes optionally ordered supplementary products (e.g., stencils) or services (e.g., PCB design, PCB assembly, consulting).
Responsibilities of the Customer and the Contractor
- The Customer declares, by accepting the GTC, that the designs or parts of the designs used do not violate copyright laws and that they have the proper authorization for their manufacturing.
- The Contractor does not verify the technical content of the designs submitted by the Customer but checks them solely from a manufacturability perspective. The Contractor is not liable for technically flawed or poorly designed yet manufacturable constructs, provided the delivered product complies with the documentation submitted by the Customer.
The Customer is fully responsible for the use of the ordered products, including financial responsibility. The Customer acknowledges that the Contractor assumes no liability for damages arising from improper, unauthorized, or illegal use of the products (e.g., product counterfeiting).
Methods of Ordering
Orders can only be placed electronically via the website (http://www.pcbnow.eu). Orders submitted via email, phone, fax, in person, or by any other method will not be accepted by the Contractor.
Files Required for PCB and Stencil Manufacturing
The Contractor only accepts Gerber files for PCB and stencil manufacturing. Production is not possible or orderable using other formats. The Gerber files must be sent in a compressed ZIP format. When placing an order on the http://www.pcbnow.eu website, the ZIP file must be uploaded during the order process.
Gerber File Naming Conventions:
For 1-2 layers:
- Component side copper:
project_name.GTL
- Component side solder mask:
project_name.GTS
- Component side silkscreen:
project_name.GTO
- Component side stencil:
project_name.GTP
- Solder side copper:
project_name.GBL
- Solder side solder mask:
project_name.GBS
- Solder side silkscreen:
project_name.GBO
- Solder side stencil:
project_name.GBS
- Drills:
project_name.TXT
- Outline Gerber file:
project_name.GKO
For 4 layers:
- Add internal layer names as
project_name.G2L
,project_name.G3L
, etc.
The Contractor is not liable for errors caused by incorrect file naming, such as swapped layers or missing files.
RoHS Compliance
The European Union’s RoHS Directive, effective from July 1, 2006, restricts the use of certain hazardous substances (e.g., mercury, cadmium, lead) in electrical and electronic equipment. The Contractor’s default materials may not comply with RoHS standards unless explicitly requested by the Customer (e.g., ordering lead-free surface finishes).
Order Process
Orders must meet the following conditions to be processed:
- Submitted Gerber files are error-free and meet technological standards.
- Manufacturing methods, arrangements, and required parameters are clearly defined.
- All necessary Customer data is available.
- The Customer has approved all details of the order, including total cost and delivery terms, and accepted the GTC.
Quality Concerns
If the delivered product does not meet quality expectations, the Contractor will refund a proportionate amount or the full purchase price upon credible proof of defect. However, the Contractor is not liable for damages resulting from design flaws or improper use of the PCB.
Right of Withdrawal
The Customer cannot withdraw from orders for custom-manufactured products (e.g., PCBs, stencils) unless quality issues or delays make withdrawal justified. Withdrawal must be communicated in writing and sent via registered mail.
